Somehow every time I, or pretty much anyone else, mention the words Steve Jobs and Genius in the same sentence, world war three breaks out in the comments. “He wasn’t a genius, he just stole other people’s ideas. He never created anything. He was a bad man so it doesn’t matter how innovative he was” and on and on.

I have heard it all and debated this point endlessly. Why don’t we agree right now that if you are a hater, you can just close this post and not read what I am about to say.

Depending on your perspective and who you ask, Jobs was involved and sometimes responsible for a true revolution in anywhere between seven and nine multi-billion dollar industries. I am referring to personal computing (Macintosh), music (iTunes), mobile (iPhone), tablet computing (iPad), animated films (Pixar), software distribution (App Store), retail shopping (Apple stores), digital movie distribution (iTunes), and possibly the television industry (iTV?). Just a regular guy…

If you have not read the Walter Isaacson biography, I highly recommend you do, whether you are a technology lover or not. I explained why I loved the book so much here.

Putting aside your thoughts on the man himself, no one debates that he was a marketing genius and an inspirational visionary (at least no one that I know).

I recently came across the most comprehensive archive of Steve Jobs videos, so naturally, I spent a few hours watching all of them.

In addition to the ones we have all seen like the original iPhone keynote and the famous Stanford speech, the following five videos (well, four. The Android video is really just audio) inspired me and made me think, so I decided to share them with you.

I hope you agree that these are some pretty historic and monumental videos in the ongoing revolution of personal computing and technology in general. Enjoy.

Please share your thoughts in the comments or on Twitter, Google+, or Facebook where we are always listening.
