Appsfire is Killing it in the Mobile Space

At inneractive, we like to think we are always with our fingers on the pulse of the mobile industry. Our product evolves almost daily with the needs of mobile developers as our guiding light. The one thing we have noticed lately is that among all the leaders in this space, the ones that make all the noise and are frequently featured on sites like Techcrunch, our friends at Appsfire pretty much lead the pack.
In fact, a simple Google search for the word “Appsfire” will quickly reveal just how much innovation goes on over there on a daily basis. I recently tweeted “Another day, another Appsfire product! Can someone tell me how they do it?” and I wasn’t kidding. Just a few days ago, Appsfire made it and stayed at the top of the iOS charts with Appdeals. Last month, the company released OpenUDID, and the list continues with iOS and Android apps updated frequently and a website that is pretty active with some of the biggest names in tech on board.
Well, today’s Appsfire announcement might be their most brilliant yet. The company announced it is getting into our space (mobile advertising), well kind of anyway.
Appsfire thought about the app promotion and discovery space, which by the way, no one has truly cracked yet (that might change in the near future) and realized one very obvious and elementary fact. Most app developers start promoting their app once it is live in the app store. Somehow, in almost every other industry, businesses realized that the ads and promotion must build up buzz prior to launch. Yet when it comes to mobile apps, there is no effective way to promote an app prior to the app being accepted to the App Store. Till now!
Appsfire just released a new mobile ad unit to appear within the Appsfire apps that will allow developers to promote their apps two weeks prior to launch.
Sarah Perez of TechCrunch reports “The new ad unit, which functions sort of like a trailer for mobile apps, includes a full screen preview, a few visuals and the above-mentioned “notify me” button. Users can be notified both by push messages and via email, depending on their preference. On the backend, Appsfire tracks the application in real-time so it knows when the app goes live and then handles the automatic notification process.”
As I mentioned, the ads appear within Appsfire only and only on iOS for now but the company is working on both an Android version and the ability to serve the ads within external apps. According to Appsfire Co-founder Ouriel Ohayon, in its testing period the Coming Soon banner saw a 30% CTR, which is pretty impressive.

The bottom line is, we are super impressed with what Appsfire is doing (a little worried about the team’s health, since clearly they are not sleeping much) and we are excited to see what else they come up with. Based on the past couple of months, we can expect to see the next Appsfire product within a day or two! Good work, guys!
