Forget Apple revolutionizing so many industries, Nokia making a comeback, Amazon about to take the tablet space by storm, Rovio, the makers of Angry Birds do not cease to amaze.

The game or should I call it a phenomenon has been downloaded a half a billion times. Yes, that is a B. Billion! How is that even possible? Some of the stats you will see in the video, which are truly ridiculous include:

  •  Angry Birds is the number 1 app in a whopping 79 countries!
  • 266 Billion levels played
  • 400 billion birds shot
  • 44 billion stars collected
  • The total Angry Birds gameplay on a global basis equals (sit down for this one) 200,000 YEARS!!
Like I said, ridiculous on so many levels. Enjoy the video and please someone explain to me, how did this happen? What is Rovio’s secret?
