As Nokia World 2011 continues, what seems to be happening almost across the Web is that the public opinion of Nokia as a serious mobile contender to Apple and Google has made a complete 180. Journalists who never took Nokia seriously before are now declaring a comeback.

Even the biggest iOS and Android fans are openly impressed with Nokia’s new Windows Phone devices. Can you blame them? Check out the specs on these bad boys! It is fair to say, Nokia is back!

Can Nokia now sit back and enjoy their success? Absolutely not! Is the company in for some difficult times? Yes. But, at the end of the day, many have restored their faith in Nokia as a company that knows innovation and can deliver in the mobile space. Check out the Cnet video below for some super cool Nokia innovation.

If that was not enough, how about the fact that Nokia is now going to deliver the experience of Angry Birds to millions (if not  billions) of customers in emerging markets who have no access to high end smartphones. How cool is that?

While the man who many believe is the next Steve Jobs, Jack Dorsey believes Nokia needs to focus (and he might be right), the fact of the matter is between Nokia’s global dominance, its partnership with Microsoft on Windows Phone, and its unprecedented hardware manufacturing capabilities, Nokia has a very good chance of competing again. Of course, the company is going to have to shape up on the apps front, but that is a discussion for another time.

Now, why do I say “we told you so?” Well, because while everyone was busy eulogizing the Finnish mobile giant, we released an infographic entitled “Is Nokia Dead? Not So Fast…” We recognized that a company like Nokia is not going anywhere so fast and if the last few days have taught us anything, companies who seem to be at the peak of their success can have their fate reversed almost overnight. Just take a look at Netflix.

In any case, take a look at the infographic below for a perspective on Nokia in the mobile advertising world as of September 2011. Once again, you will see clearly that Nokia has a lot to offer both to developers and to consumers.

We are excited to see how this all plays out.
