Windows 8 Tablet vs iPad with iOS5 Hands On Video

If I had told you two weeks ago that Microsoft would release a new version of Windows for PC and tablets that would not only have the whole tech community excited, but about which the only complaint is that it is not on the market soon enough, you might have sent me away. Yet, somehow, they pulled it off.

Windows 8 looks fantastic and we just posted a hands on with the new OS yesterday. Check it out here.

OK so Microsoft did a good job, that is pretty much a consensus at this point, but the big question is, how will the Windows 8 tablet stack up against the iPad? This video shows the two devices side by side. Yes, I realize that when this device hits shelves, there will already be an iPad 3 or even 4, but this is Microsoft we are talking about, and just the fact that they have created an OS this impressive, is an accomplishment on its own merit.

Enjoy the Winrumors video, I found it t be informative and pretty darn surprising. Which tablet do you think impresses more? The iPad 2 with iOS5 or the Windows 8 tablet?
