Skype for iPad Looks Pretty Amazing (VIDEO)
Despite Apple’s popular iPad device completely dominating the tablet space, it is interesting to see that some of the leading technology companies out there still have not embraced the device. Facebook is rumored to be releasing its native iPad app soon, but the obvious question is what took them so long?
Skype, the industry leader of VoIP clients has still not released its iPad app, which forces millions of users to access Skype with the iPhone app, which as you know, is far from a pleasant experience visually speaking. The latest rumors, which are backed up by the video below, seem to imply that Skype will finally be releasing its native iPad app in the coming weeks.
This is of course great news for iPad users and especially those that went out and purchased an iPad 2 with integrated cameras. The new app will indeed support both cameras as well as offer a functionality sorely lacking on the iPhone, namely, the ability to chat via text while in a video call.
Take a look at the video below, which looks like the long wait might have been very worth it.
